I don’t recognize my username. How do I change it?

In order to protect your privacy, Course Hero automatically generates an anonymous username for you. To customize your username, follow the steps below:

1. Hover your mouse over your profile picture icon, located in the top-right corner.
2. Click My Profile.
3. Once you’re in your profile, click the Edit Profile link.
4. From here, you can edit your username or create a new one.
5. Click the pink Save”icon on the right-hand side.

From here, you should be all set with your updated username.

Please note: If your requested username is already taken by another member, an error message will appear, asking you to try again. In addition, you can only change your username once. If you’d like to change it again, please reach out to our Customer Support team by clicking Contact Us below. If possible, please provide a few options in case your first option is already taken.
