Does Course Hero share my personal information with law enforcement or government authorities?

We take privacy seriously.  In accordance with our Privacy Policy <link>, we only disclose user information when legally required, in response to a valid court order or government requests supported with legal process.  In rare circumstances, we may disclose user information to law enforcement if there is reason to believe that an emergency involving danger of death or serious physical injury exists.

If we receive a valid court order or government request for user personal information, we make reasonable efforts to notify the affected user via the email registered with our service prior to the disclosure, to the extent we are not prohibited from doing so by law or otherwise, or if an emergency exists.
