What information do I need to provide in a request for user information?

We take privacy seriously.  In accordance with our Privacy Policy, we only disclose user information in response to a court order or government requests supported with legal process. 

United States law enforcement requests for user personal data (such as name, email, and IP address) must first obtain a valid subpoena or court order.  If the disclosure request is for non-public user content (e.g., private communications between a user and our service), a valid warrant is required.

Requests for user personal data or non-public user content from law enforcement and government agencies outside of the United States must follow the Mutual Legal Assistance Treaty, as applicable.
