How do I know what price to set for my question?
For Basic questions, there are only three options available for pricing: $3, $5, and $8. Choose your price based on the difficulty of the question and the time you think it will take for a tutor to answer it to your liking. Remember, the higher the price, the more attractive the question.
Advanced questions take a little more thought because a tutor is being assigned to work with you one-on-one. We recommend that you keep the following things in mind when determining how much to offer:
Deadline: Do you need help immediately? Shorter deadlines should have higher prices.
Difficulty: Is your question really advanced and/or complex? If so, be sure to compensate your tutor for the extra time and care they’ll need. Compare this to in-person tutoring - the average in-person tutoring session costs upwards of $50 per hour!
Remember: Tutors will be more inclined to pick up your question if there is a compelling price attached to it.
Tip: Before you post your question, you can also search to see if someone has previously asked a similar question.
