What qualifications should I have to tutor on Course Hero?

The Course Hero tutor community is dedicated to helping students learn and gain a better understanding of their coursework. With this in mind, tutors should be subject matter experts and should have the ability to answer complex questions in a clear and helpful manner. Right now, Course Hero only accepts tutor applicants who fall into one of the below categories:

  • Current college, university, and undergraduate students who have completed at least two full years of coursework
  • Current Master’s and graduate level students
  • Professionals who have received a college, university, or undergraduate degree or above (e.g. Master’s, PhD)

To show subject matter expertise, tutor applicants should be able to provide one of the academic qualifications listed below for the subject area in which they want to tutor:

Tutor applicants should also be able to show they received high grades in coursework connected to their subject area through at least the end of the 2nd year college level.
